Asia 2018-19

We had a great holiday planned for the winter of 2018/2019. We started off visiting some of our favourite macros spots in Bali, then went to the famous Sipidan island in Malaysia, floowed by hunting down the extremely rare leafy and weedy sea dragions in Australia!

Then guess what! David slid off a cliffside path and broke his ankle while we were in Australia. We had just had a sucessful dive finding the Weedy Sea Dragons and were carrying all the equipment along the cliff edge path when David slids over the edge. He managed to put Jo's camera rig onto a rocky shelf as he slid past, but he landed badly and broke his ankle in 3 places.

We didn't let it stop us though. Wwe had to cancel our trip to Truk Lagoon as David was in hospital, but as soon as he was out, complete with titanium plates and lots of screws in his ankle, we continued our travels.

We went from Australia to Cambodia to see Ankar Wat, a place David had wanted to visit for many years. then we went to Khao Lak in Thailand to meet up with our friends John and Joanne and their son Sam. We then went on a liveaboard to the Similan Islands, followed by a trip to Koh Samui where we met up with Lynn & Bert, and Mark & Heather.
